You’ve owned tons of bikes throughout your life, but for the most part the basic settings of each bike were the same. It’s funny how one little minor change to a bike can make such a big difference… ok, this change isn’t so minor. Hairbands and BMX Sounds Like A Recipe For A Great Time and Great Cause It’s always awesome to hear about how hyped up BMX State Championships can get, and this one sounds pretty cool. At the end of this month in Wisconsin the Winnebagoland BMX track is not only hosing the BMX races, but also a whole onslaught of events including a rock show from RATT. The rock show is not only going to be full of awesome bands, but will also help raise money and awareness for autism. If you’re in the area this is a BMX State Championship you don’t want to miss… The state’s best BMX riders are coming to Oshkosh. The Winnebagoland BMX State Championship takes place Aug. 29 and 30, on the Winnebagoland BMX track. This sanctioned USA BMX track is not only a lot of fun, but also a great place for kids to socialize, exercise and develop new skills. In addition to the state competition, the track holds races and practice sessions every week from May through October. There are some great events happening every week this summer. The Waterfest Concert Series has a fantastic lineup to wrap this season at the Leach Amphitheater. On Thursday, see Here Come the Mummies, The Traveling Suitcase and The Presidents. On Aug. 27, catch Hairball! On Aug. 29, the Leach Amphitheater will be rocking for a great cause. Stephen Pearcy, the founder and former lead singer of RATT, will headline the Rock for Autism. Also performing: Daphni, Sedated, Eminence, Sonic Circus and the Red Light Saints. All proceeds from this high-energy night will benefit those with autism in Wisconsin.
